Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Natural Shell: Review and Swatch
Hey guys! Today I am reviewing the Lakme foundation. Lets get started with the review.
What Lakme claims: This oil-free, water resistant foundation with Vitamin E & Silicones, soothes and moisturizes with superior coverage. Easy to blend & feather like finish pampers the skin nonstop.
Cost: 105 INR for 27 ml. (Now it is 115 INR)
My Review:
Packaging:The packaging is in a glass bottle with no dispenser. This makes it quite difficult to use as well as carry.
Color: The shade which I got is Natural Shell which is perfect for my wheat-ish skin with yellow undertones. There are 3 more shades in Pearl, Marble and Coral.
Texture: The foundation has liquid form and is quite easy to blend. It dries quickly on application.
Coverage: This foundation gives medium coverage and I feel more layers will make your face look cakey. That said I feel one layer is enough for me to hide my blemishes and pores. This won't cover major blemishes or very dark circles though.
Finish: It dries quickly and gives a matte finish. The finished face looks very fresh and oil-free. You don't even need to apply a translucent powder to set it.
Staying Power: This last for about 5-6 hours. This won't survive sweating as it starts melting and transfers on the collars of the clothes. It is somewhat oil-free as my face stays matte for longer.

Conclusion: Leaving the cons aside, this is a perfect start to your makeup collection without spending a bomb. Lakme has some budget foundations with wide variety of colors with the range they offer. Perfect foundation to try for beginners.
