I love Colourpop Cosmetics for always launching new lip textures in their range. After Colourpop Ultra Satin and Ultra Matte. I have reviewed the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Tulle and it is such a good liquid lipstick!! Colourpop came out with these Ultra Blotted one few months ago. So ultra Blotted one are supposed to give you that blurred out blotted lips. Maybelline came out with a similar concept with their Maybelline Lip Gradation range. This blotted lip which looks like you just had a Popsicle is a huge trend in Korea.

My Review : Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip in Cherry On Top comes packaged in Colourpop standard tube packaging. It has a applicator with bristles on them I personally don't like it too much and I prefer the applicator to be leaf shaped, so that it has a pointy edge for precise application and a flat surface to spread the product evenly.

The shade Cherry on Top is a deep wine shade which looks very intimidating at first but on my lips it looks a very diluted version of that shade.

The texture of the ultra blotted lip is very unique. It is gel like and dries pretty fast. So you need to work quicky with the product. Once applied it goes on perfectly matte and settles to a very thin layer.

However, it comes of pretty easily and looks tacky in the inner lips. I have heard that this particular shade is a bit patchy due to its shade, so if you are looking to buy from this range, then go for other shades. The texture itself took some practice to put on and obviously you cannot press your lips together while it is wet otherwise it looks too tacky. Although I love the concept of Ultra Blotted lips, it is difficult to work with and I definitely would not wear it on its own.

But, this Lipstick (can we even call it that? ) works really well on top of other lipstick. I topped it on Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Lip in Fuchsia Suede and it stayed on my lip beautifully. But using it on top of another lip defeats the purpose of the lipstick, which was to give an ultra blotted lip effect. So while I am not happy with the formulation of this, I just wish they come up with better formulation.

Overall, I would not recommend these but if you are very curious about these then go for other shade

Colourpop does ship internationally. However, you have to pay a lot of custom charges. Also with the recent changes with the introduction of GST I don't know what the situation is currently. I heard a lot of bloggers paying a ton of money for custom charges especially in Mumbai. In Delhi, many didn't face this problem. So to avoid all this, I bought this from an Instagram store named MakeupObsession. I got this for INR 650 + INR 50 shipping, which is much better than a lot of other websites like Beautybuyindia. 

So see which one of this is a good option for you. Also there is a website which ships it out for you to a virtual address in USA and then delivers it to you. Overall : I like the Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip in Cherry On Top and concept of it but I am not a fan of the texture.
