Colorbar Kiss Proof Stain Liquid Lipstick in Rustic was my first ever liquid lipstick. However, my experience with this liquid lipstick was terrible to say the least.

Not only that it is for freaking INR 900, which is the maximum amount I have spent on a single lipstick. I thought I was maybe not applying it right or I got a fake product. But I got this one from a legit Colorbar store, so it is definitely not a fake. I applied a balm underneath, no effect. Applied it on top of a lip liner, no effect. Applied it with a brush, as I saw on a Youtube video, no effect. On top of that every top beauty blogger was raving about this liquid lipstick !!!

But then I did stumble upon quite a few negative reviews of this liquid lipstick and my doubts were put to rest. This liquid lipstick just doesn't work. It cracks, crumbles and becomes tacky on layering the product. It gives that stark line on my lower lip. It is just a waste! Then why have I kept this so long you ask?? The color! The absofreakinlutely gorgeous pigmented color!

It is a brick red shade and looks fabulous. I haven't seen such a shade nor do I have such a shade in my vanity. I also don't like red lipsticks much, so my collection mostly has deep pinks and neutrals. I love this shade and its pigmentation is amazing! Although it doesn't last that long. 

So I came across a close dupe of this in my vanity and it is none other than Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lipstick in the shade Cherry Chic.

I have already review this shade here  and I love this lipstick. Although not as pigmented as the Colorbar one, it is a very close dupe of it with half the price. Lakme's 9 to 5 lipsticks are some of my all time favorite lipsticks and I will buy more soon .
